The Banzai II .268 Camshaft is a complete redesign of our original Banzai 265—built from the ground up to meet the demands of modern Honda clone kart racing and mini bike performance engines.


In a market saturated with rebranded .265–.268 camshafts based on outdated profiles, the Banzai II stands apart with an all-new cam profile and revised timing strategy designed to deliver real-world performance gains where it matters most—below peak torque.


Built for Power Under the Curve

Most camshafts are designed to chase peak horsepower within a narrow RPM window. The Banzai II takes a different approach—focusing on average horsepower and torque across the usable powerband.

During development, we identified significant untapped power below peak torque—especially in engines running:

  • Ported cylinder heads with larger cross-sectional areas
  • Bigger valves
  • Increased airflow combinations

The Banzai II captures that lost performance, delivering:

  • Stronger acceleration
  • Improved throttle response
  • Broader, more usable power delivery

Instead of sacrificing drivability for small peak gains, this camshaft increases total power under the curve, resulting in faster, more consistent performance on track and better usability for recreational riding.


Optimized Powerband for Kart & Mini Bike Racing

  • Primary Power Range: 4500–7000 RPM
  • Secondary Power Range: 3000–7500 RPM
  • Peak Torque: 5000–5800 RPM
  • Peak Horsepower: 6500–7500 RPM

Engineered to maximize average power from 5000–7500 RPM, the Banzai II provides strong pull through corners and sustained speed on straights—without sacrificing low-end usability.


Sleeper Performance Without Complexity

The Banzai II delivers high-level performance in a non-welded “sleeper” camshaft design, making it both affordable and reliable.

  • Compatible with stock-style valvetrain components
  • Includes 26 lb valve springs
  • No exotic or high-maintenance setup required

This makes it an ideal upgrade for racers and builders who want performance without unnecessary complexity.


Recommended Engine Setup

Best suited for:

  • 212cc+ Honda clone engines
  • Compression ratio: 10:1–11:1

Fuel Recommendations:

  • Above 11:1 compression: race gas or methanol recommended


Stroker-Compatible 224-Core Design

All DynoCams 224-core camshafts feature:

  • .550” cam journal
  • Narrow lobes for rod clearance
  • Lobe-to-lobe clearancing
  • Reduced compression release for 58mm stroke compatibility

No crankshaft clearancing required, making the Banzai II ideal for stroker engine builds and high-performance combinations.

Works well with both kart racing clutches and CVT setups, including lower engagement configurations.

  • Cylinder Head: WC946-3 31/25mm CNC Ported
  • Carburetor: 24–26mm (90–110 CFM), PWK24-1K
  • Ignition: SK300 flywheel with PVL 12K ignition
  • Exhaust: .960–.990 ID (open preferred)


Important Installation Notes

Due to variation in tappet lengths across engine platforms:

  • Tappets are not included
  • Inspect and measure tappets before installation
  • Replacement is recommended to ensure proper geometry and longevity


Critical Safety Requirements

  • Billet connecting rod required above 6000 RPM
  • Billet or aluminum flywheel required above 6000 RPM

Failure to upgrade rotating components may result in catastrophic engine failure.
