Our Level II Shredder head fits all GX200, Clones, Predator 212/224/Ghost, Wildcat, Tillotson, Ducar, and other small block GX engines. This port has been in development for the last six months and outperforms our previous Stage 1 offering by 15%.
The CNC machined and hand finished intake port flows an average of 96CFM from .300" to .450" lift. This port has been optimized for maximum port velocity and flow. It does not need any additional port work.
Valves are long enough to tolerate up to .440" lift and springs will control up to 9,000rpms.
The exhaust port has been hand ported and flows 80cfm. It will not benefit from a larger valve, only cost you some power. It needs at least a 1" exhaust header, and the exhaust flange has a 47mm bolt spacing, so you might need to enlarge the lower hole on your pipe just a bit to get it to bolt up. This is the same bolt spacing as the Predator 224 non-hemi exhaust flange.
Recommend carburetor: 28mm PWK style. Can be used with our Shredder or Super Shredder intake adapters and 35mm boots.
Recommended cam: DynoCams 315 grind for 212cc engines and the 308 grind for 224cc engines, and a 1.35:1 ratio rocker arm.
Recommended pushrod:5.200" for most small block GX engines if you use stock style rocker arms. 5.375" if you use a roller rocker like the Gage Motorsports option with a Predator 224 non-hemi, or Predator 212cc hemi and non-hemi with Shredder conversion and Dynocams 308 cam. Use 5.285" for EC Carburetor's roller rockers. Steel or chromoly steel recommended, do not use aluminum.
This head comes fully assembled and ready to run, you'll just need to bolt on your rocker arms, install the included lash caps, and set your valve lash to zero.
Includes the following hardware:
28.5mm x 2.590" and 24mm x 2.570" stainless steel Shredder valves with 5.5mm stems
Lightweight lash caps
Titanium retainers
Middle groove keepers
DynoCams 36lb springs set up at 41lbs at .930" install height
0.015" thick steel shim for correct intake spring install height
Our steel guide plate with angled slots for perfect rocker arm positioning without raising rocker studs up too high. Slots are specifically designed for 3/16" diameter pushrods.
If you are bolting one of these heads on any non-hemi Predator or other Rato engine you'll need our stepped head dowel pins to adapt the 11mm holes in the block to the 10mm holes in these heads.
