These Lightweight Retainers reduce weight and improve valvetrain stability. Our billet retainers are lightweight but very strong and durable. The Hard Anodized Coating permeates the metal protecting it from wear and is chemical resistant. The bright red color adds a brilliance when you remove the valve cover for that high performance racing appearance.

Since each of the engines has a growing fan base and shares the same architecture, EC decided to make stainless steel valves the would improve the performance and durability of the valve train. The stainless steel valves are lighter and stronger, which can allow higher spring pressures, more aggressive cams, and more rpm.

The Ghost 212, Ducar 212, and Tillotson 212E Hemi Heads have a 5.5mm guide and valve. The valve tip is undercut to use 5mm retainers and locks. The EC Stainless steel valves are made the same way to allow stock retainers and locks to be used. If you decide to upgrade to EC's Aluminum or Titanium Retainers, you will need to use the 5mm retainers and locks.

EC Billet Titanium Retainers fit 5mm Valve Stems using Dual Valve Springs.
Lightweight retainers reduce weight and improve valvetrain stability. Our Billet retainers are lightweight but very strong and durable. The New Titanium combines lightweight with superior durability for the most stable valvetrain for high RPMSs engines running aggressive cam profiles or high ratio rockers.

Do not use dual valve springs with stock valves. We recommend using our 5mm Stainless Steel Valves for Dual Spring Setups.

The PVL flywheel fin design allows it to move a very high volume of air. It is recommended that you leave only 1 of the blower housing recoil air intakes open. If more cooling is desired then the tape can be removed. The engine will perform best when you have the right amount of cooling to keep the engine from reaching an excessive temperature.
The flywheel works with the standard OEM clone coil with a recommended coil gap of .038-.040". The running timing with a straight up key is 28 degrees and it is recommended to start with a running timing between 28 to 31 degrees.
PVL, the manufacturer, tested the flywheel at 17,000 rpms and an independent company in the USA tested the flywheel at 15,000 rpms for 60 minutes, both without failure.


These testings do not verify or guarantee the safety, suitability, use, or the fitness of this flywheel. Racing is dangerous and exploding parts can cause injury or death.
The flywheel comes with two 5/16-24 threaded holes in the steel hub for the use of a standard 2 bolt puller for removal.
